Q. What makes Spark Math Different?
A. Our technology, curriculum and our dedicated experienced teachers — not tutors — set us apart from other spark math program. Our app-based platform is designed to enable personalized learning, direct interaction with teachers and other students. Our curriculum is based on the proven Singapore Math method, combining technology with the proven CPA approach (Concrete -> Pictorial -> Abstract). Spark Math uses videos and animations to help visualize math concepts and help students retain even difficult, abstract concepts through games, puzzles, stories & more.
Q. How does Spark Math work with traditional classroom learning?
A. Spark Math works around you and your child's busy schedule. Families can schedule their classes at times that work for them. The Spark Math curriculum is aligned with US Common Core State Standards and can help students prepare for what they will learn in school as well as re-enforce classroom learning in a slightly different format.
Q. Can I use Spark Math as our home school math program?
A. Absolutely! Our teachers are excited to work with children at all stages of their math learning and are well equipped to be the primary source of math education.
Q. What makes Spark Math teachers different?
A. At Spark Math we use qualified teachers, not tutors. All of our teachers have previous classroom teaching experience with math expertise in math coaching and advanced math studies. Our teachers are dedicated to your child, their classmates, and the potential for excellence in all of them.
Q. How do teachers interact with students?
A. In small, live, 6:1 classes, teachers and students build strong relationships as they conduct group discussions and learn together. While the students are working individually, the teacher can see and interact privately through our unique technology to help guide and direct them as needed. Students will also receive personalized feedback from teachers on their assignments and video presentations.
Q. What is gamified learning?
A. Gamified learning uses fun and engaging games and puzzles as a highly effective teaching method to allow your child to not just enjoy math, but also be able to visualize and thoroughly comprehend the advanced concepts that they are learning.

Q. How do I know that my child is in the right class?
A. Your child will go through an assessment prior to their first class to ensure that they are placed in the right class. If it's determined that the class they're in isn't the right fit (they are either ahead of the curriculum or would be better suited in a lower level curriculum), the teacher will be able to assist with feedback and get your child where they need to be to achieve their very best.
Q. Is Spark Math a remedial program?
A. Whether your child is looking for some additional help or additional challenge in math, Spark Math's tech-enabled program can be tailored to each student's needs. Our Education Consultants can help you find the right fit for your child and help them succeed.

A. Yes! Interested in getting head start to AMC-8, or want to participate in Caribou, MathLeague, Kangaroo Math, or any other math competitions? A. In addition to regular classes with our certified teachers in real-time classes, we help students develop lifelong learning habits. Our classes begin with a preview segment in the VISPARK Student App to introduce students to the topic they are exploring in class. After each class, there is a summary, and practice challenges to reinforce the skills students have learned.
